September 28 2022-Loving the weather thru Oct 7

Fall is here 

The Berners are in heaven. They LOVE this cooler weather.   

As of late it feels as though all the dogs are fighting to get attention from Momma.   It didn't help that I was out late on Saturday. Gone most of the day & coming home around 2:30AM as I attended a concert with some friends, they are not used to my being away for long. 

The greeting I got was very enthusiastic. They are also clingy.     Additionally, Lada seems to get lost in the fight. Being the smallest, she sometimes gets "buried" in the mass of fur.   
She's getting more "possessive" and snapping at the others when they come for attention.  
This morning I had to bring her up on my lap to have a "chat". 

I told her she was my special girl and I'm sorry if she thinks she isn't getting enough attention, but because my lap is always reserved for her as well as the spot next to my pillow--my outward showing of love might make it seem I don't love her.   However she is very loved and is the only one who holds those spots.    Poor girl.

What's been up

The past week has been very busy here.   On Friday of last week my friend (and one of Peryn's favorite people) came over and we walked the boys on the path.   It was a gorgeous day & enjoyable.  

Sunday, cousin Zenia, came for a visit.   We took them all to the Farm. It was an awesome time.  Watching Zenia explore and experience new things put a smile on our face.   Nothing is cuter than watching a dog experience something the first time & loving it.  

The one downside to the weather has been the rain, particularly the storms. The boys do not do well with them.  While I have gotten additional lap time with Volos, it's not all fun & games.

June 2022...

 The hardest part about prepping these posts--figuring out what I last posted while looking for any new interesting things that were recorded or posted......

We recently had our bathroom renovated. During the renovation they removed the old mirror which was placed in the living room.  Ziva was very interested in the doggy that appeared.

Everyday Volos looks forward to his car ride. I've been calling him Miss Daisy. Here are a few glimpses of him enjoying the trip.    He is totally happy being in the backseat as Momma drives his butt around. He's even happier when the trip ends with chicken nuggets. 

We had a visit from the duck & it's family the other day:

Volos has picked up a new talent. Discovered it while watching Reels on Facebook. So glad I was able to capture.

Peryn here would like to show off his favorite toy. He will constantly drop it or crush it to get it to go off.

HEY! Welcome to June.  

Ready to hear about some recent shenanigans?

Wildlife living on the Edge...

We have quite a bit of wildlife that cross thru our backyard. We have deer daily. There is a rabbit that loves the foliage along the back fence. Geese. Turkey. Ducks....    They love to wander into our yard.  

Lada has always loved to chase the deer. She did it at our old place all the time.  Disappeared into the woods to chase & play with them.  She always chases after them here.  I usually stop her before she hits the woods, but she would follow them if she could. 

We were out on the back patio enjoying the day when 2 ducks waddled into the backyard--with the dogs out. Luckily we have pretty good control of the dogs. 

In that video, you see along the back fence. That is where the bunny usually is found foraging.  Never have seen him away from the fence. That is until Sunday.  Went to let the dogs out and this is what I see.  

I kept yelling at the bunny through the glass "RUN!!!!"   and "GO BUNNY GO!!" while knocking on the window.  Bunny wouldn't move.  After a few tries of that, I slowly open the door up a crack.  Yell again at it.  I'm also hoping that the dogs would begin barking at it and scare it away.  

Nope.   Still laid there.   Slowly open the door more.   Nope.  A little more...nope.   Then the door was open wide enough for the dogs to rush out.     

Eventually after several minutes Peryn got tired of waiting & ran out, chasing the bunny away.  However for the longest time it was like the dogs were watching a show.

Daily Digging

Each night, R gives the pups cookies.  He'll also dole out bones for them to chew. Ziva lives for these chews.   Lada usually buries hers in the bed to leave for the next day or when she's in the mood.   
Ziva is aware of this fact and each morning will search (aka dig ) through the blankets to find the chew.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Now that the weather is nicer, we were able to bring out one of the pools for the pups.  Peryn & Lada of course loved it.  Anytime Peryn has a place to cool off after chasing a few balls is his favorite.

We also went to the Farm on Memorial Day.  Pups were excited as 2 of their friends from Day Care showed up.  Ziva had a blast playing with them after we were in the pond of course.

PUPDATE: February 2022

 I've got videos galore. I just need to clip them together since they are more/less the same situation.  

One thing I have done is a Facebook page. I previously had one for Lada & one for Peryn (Plus Athena's). However between the blog & each page...it was too much. So I created one for all of them.  It's essentially my "They just did something. I must post about it." place. It allows me to share lots of dog stuff and also keep track of the crazies.     It'll be more a moment in time thing. This will be the long stories & more details place, but I needed an up to the minute place to post.  
That being said, tell me what you think....

Peryn getting irritated that I won't continue to throw the ball. Stubborn dude!

And Volos after destroying more boxes. This is what I have lots of videos on that I need to condense. He is HILARIOUS with these boxes. Daddy might not be happy when he gets home.

They are definitely an active & cray bunch.  I am really happy with the energy of this pack.  It took awhile, but it's pretty good. 
Of course their personalities are ...hilarious. 
We have 

Volos: a total MOMMAs boy. Everything is about Mom, boxes, & toys.  He is happiest when cuddling in bed with Momma.

He doesn't attend day care like he used to. Maybe once a week. Otherwise he loves being home alone with Momma. All the snuggles, snacks & car rides a boy could want. 

He adores his sisters. He is sweet with them & even more so with Ziva. She won.  Pushed her way into his heart. 
He grudgingly likes Peryn. He misses him when he's gone & growls when together.  
He loves all sorts of pets.

Peryn: Ball fiend. Actually -anything that can be used to throw & fetch.  After being at daycare all day, he'll come home & demand more fetch.  
He loves to be a jerk & ruin fun.  He hasn't exactly warmed to Ziva. He'll try to play with her, but it's on his terms. if she tries on her terms, he snaps. 
When playing fetch with Lada, he'll stay back & let her do all the chasing.  He likes to run with her.  Sometimes stealing the ball when the one in his mouth gets too nasty. 
His most favorite thing is to torture Volos to get him to chase.  Not as much as they used to , but still pretty persistent.  
HE isn't a cuddly dog. Its rare when he wants affection, so enjoy it when he gives it up.
 
Lada-Psycho. She earned this nickname because she's both a jumper & an aggressive kisser.  Sometimes one cannot catch their breath. She is a serious Momma's girl & will come flying from another part of the house if she thinks I am going to show affection to any other dog. 
She LOVEs & adores her siblings. Ziva is her BFF. They are quite hilarious to watch due to the difference in sizes, but they are fantastic together.   
She adores big brother Volos. She loves on him in the early mornings when Mom is getting ready to start work.   

Then there is Peryn. I think of them more like twins than anything. When she gets irritated at him, she lets him have it. She loves hanging with him & cuddling near him.  They've been together most of their lives.   

 

Then the baby...Ziva.  Ziva still is growing & coming into her own.  However this dog. 
She is the biggest teddy bear. She loves giving hugs. She loves cuddles. She loves people, dogs, food, anything she can get her mouth on.   
And boy does she LOVE her Daddy.  Watching her when he comes home from wherever.  Watching her demand cuddles from him.  He loves every freaking moment.  He hasn't had a dog like this since Sheba.  Athena was close, but not like Ziva. 

Every night, she climbs on his lap & they cuddle.  

 

 

We have a YouTube channel!

 I post a lot of pictures of the pups.   A few videos here and there. Part of the issue is I was unsure where they were saved or if it counted against my quota.  

I also do a lot of work on their Facebook pages as well, so to make it easier for me I began uploading videos to YouTube.

I've hit my upload limit for the day, but I started with Athena & Duchess and will slowly work our way to the current time.
