Yikes, it's been a slow few weeks.  Very few posts here or on the FB page.   It's been pretty hectic and a bunch of things have been going on. 

Let's start off with Volos.   Last post indicated he needed an ultrasound.  Good news was that there were no tumors or anything significant seen on the ultrasound.  The vet gave me two choices.  The first was a liver biopsy. The second was to treat it like an "infection" & he went on 4 meds. 

He took these meds for 2 weeks & had follow up blood work taken earlier this week.  Great news that the liver function numbers returned to normal range!    He's to continue to take the meds until they are gone. One of these is actually a liver supplement which he will be on for the rest of his life. 

He's doing wonderfully & is his usual happy self. 

Momma here celebrated the big 5-0.   We went to the African Wildlife Safari.  Took Peryn & Volos with us. Volos pretty much slept the whole time.  He's just happy to be on a drive.    Peryn barked at many of the animals.  We believe his herding instincts were kicking in.    

 Peryn & Lada had a vet appointment today.  Peryn because he's lost some teeth AND we found a lump. 
He plays pretty rough with the balls & snapping his teeth all the time.  

I found one of his teeth on the floor.  Luckily it was a clean extraction & no worries about the loss as his gums & the rest of his teeth are good. 

While he's still overweight, he did lose a few pounds since April. So we have some work to do. 

The lump was a cyst that was excised-- so that is a good thing that it was nothing else. 

Lada's visit was an annual exam. All is well with her. No worries. 

Ziva is doing well.  Happy & hating the heat. 

Her & Lada have been fighting going to daycare a lot lately.   We're not sure if it's the heat, calming down due to her age, or the fact that they are not being engaged at the daycare. 

The long time gals are gone & the newer people pretty much ignore them. All the pictures I see they are either not in or they are laying around.   So we are looking into re-arranging the daycare visit schedule.
