Morning...well for me it is morning.
We arrived home from vacation on Thursday evening. We headed down to Gatlinburg again this year with the dogs.
In planning this trip, we knew having 4 dogs this year...one of them being HUGE...would make the trip a little more "cozy". With that in mind, I reserved us a mini-van.
BEST.DECISION.EVER. Not only did I love the comfort of the mini-van...the pups were all comfortably spaced out in their own spots. We had enough room for the stuff we brought & the stuff I knew I would be brining home.
I have decided my next vehicle will be a mini-van. Just need to wait a few months to save up. Mini-van is 2 thumbs up!
The trip down was the "worst" of it. The dogs took a bit to get used to the new vehicle, their new "spots" & finding that comfort zone. Once they did however, they slept very well.
They were excited to get to the cabin as it indicated the trip was over. Additionally Gramma, Uncle Davey, & cousin Ricky were already there. There were 3 floors to explore, a large deck & just so much to take in.
Ziva adopted the quickest. She immediately found her spot on the landing of the stairs between the kitchen & the game room. She could stay near Daddy who played around in the game room/tv room & keep an eye on the door for anyone trying to sneak out.
Volos was extremely happy as I bought some toys for them to give once we arrived. He was able to take out his frustrations on the toys. He was actually quite happy as long as I was near.
Lada was happy to see everyone. Gramma, Uncle Davey, & the pack. Peryn... had his toys so he was very happy.
This time I also did a lot of looking up info on the area & found a dog park not too far away. Tues & Wednesday we took the dogs to the park where they got to let loose a bit. Additionally they had the walks for the bathroom around the cabins. Throw in playing in the house ...they were having a blast.
We did leave them two nights as we went to dinner shows. We saw the Pirates Voyage & Dolly's Stampede. It was a good trip.
I did a little IT & taxes work the first day (for Mom) but the rest was relaxation & fun.
Sat out on the decks & front porch with the pups. My favorite thing to do while there.
